Specialty cuisine
Cuban cuisine is a fusion of Spanish, African, and Caribbean flavors. Must-try dishes include Ropa Vieja (shredded beef stew), Moros y Cristianos (rice and black beans), and Lechon Asado (roast pork). Cuba is also the birthplace of world-famous cocktails like the Mojito and the Daiquiri.
Etiquette and Tipping
- Tipping in restaurants, hotels, and to tour guides is common and appreciated. A tip of around 10% is generally a good guideline.
